FREE workshop on ‘How to Reduce Household Rubbish’ with No-Waste Nomads: a warm up event for little YOGA festival 2017 Mt Maunganui

Young Wellingtonians make zero-waste for 2 years – they hit BOP to tell their tales with a FREE fun workshop with tips on how to reduce household waste.

On Saturday 19 August from 3.30pm until dinner time you’re FREE to join the No-Waste Nomads Hannah Blumhardt and Liam Prince (from Wellington) with a FREE workshop on: Reducing our Household Rubbish The Zero Waste Approach.

little YOGA festival

The 90 minute FREE workshop is held at The Scout Hall, 13 May Street, Mt Maunganui.
All are welcome to this warm up event for little YOGA festival happening at the same Scout Hall and neighbouring May Street Reserve 15-17 September

Here’s an opportunity to learn about how to minimise the waste we make, in our homes, in our families, in our lives.

This warmly delivered workshop is an introduction to the practicalities and philosophy of waste reduction.

Young Wellington couple Liam and Hannah have lived for over two years creating zero waste. Through their own experience and research they will guide you through the whys and the hows of life without a rubbish bin, including:

– What is the zero waste movement? Why is waste reduction important?

– How zero waste principles can revolutionise your perspectives on living and lifestyle, beyond your rubbish bin.

– Innovative examples of waste minimisation policy, practice and thinking from around the globe, and how these might inform community-level waste reduction.

– Tips for how you can reduce the rubbish in your life (including fun DIY household products, cosmetics, and other life hacks).

This talk is part of our travelling project, The Rubbish Trip, taking the zero waste message around Aotearoa New Zealand.
